My husband and I would like to express our thanks and extreme satisfaction for the tours we participated in while in London. Both were beyond all our expectations.

On August 13th we were scheduled to take the tour that included Glastonbury but due to weather the tour changed and included Salisbury instead. Although disappointed about the change we were not at all disappointed by the trip. Our tour guide for the day, Robert, was outstanding and very personable. The amount of history and knowledge Robert shared with us was incredible which made our day even more enjoyable.

On August 15th we were scheduled for the tour of Dover, Canterbury and Leeds Castle. Imagine our surprise and happiness when we found out that Robert would once again be our guide for the day. Robert once again shared an incredible amount of history and knowledge with us and we thoroughly enjoyed this trip also.

Then to our surprise, upon returning home to the States we found that your company had credited us for the difference from the scheduling change from the first tour on the 13th. It is wonderful to do business with a company that is honest.

small bus was comfortable and being part of a small group was good. The pub

We toured with your company to Warwick, Stratford and Christchurch on May 29th this year. It has almost been 3 months since then and I still feel the need to let you know how much we all enjoyed your excellent tour guide Tim (I can’t remember Tim’s last name).

I have done a lot of traveling and had many tour guides through the years but Tim was far and away the best guide I’ve ever had. I took with David from Yorkshire on July 27. David was adept at giving us
colorful but accurate background information ahead of time and then letting
us experience the site for ourselves. The tour was so well planned,
especially since it allowed us to get to Stonehenge before the big coaches
arrived--and the smaller vans allowed us to see sights along the way, such
as Silbury Hill and Marlborough. Our tour of Avebury was the highlight for
me since this ruin isn't hyped as much as Stonehenge but is larger and in a
beautiful natural setting. I only wish you offered the tour of Ham House and

We just returned from our trip to London, and wanted to contact you and tell you that out of four tours, our best experience was with your tour guide, David. He was our first tour guide, and set a standard that the others just couldn't live up to. (We also toured with British Shrinkers and Evans Evans.) We don't know David's last name, but he is planning on purchasing a canal boat for a residence. David was very organized, and was friendly and very knowledgeable. He was able to add so many interesting insights to the things that we saw.
I am a high school teacher in the U.S., and I was impressed by the fact that David answered all of our questions about everything, whether profound or rather stupid. We found ourselves comparing every other guide to him throughout the entire trip.
We will defintely be recommending Astral Travels to everyone we know, thanks to our good experience with David. He really is an asset to your company.

Sorry it took so long for me to write, but I just wanted to let you know how wonderful our tour was. The tour took place on the morning of the London bombings, July 7. Our driver, David, with Astral Travels, was absolutely terrific. He let us know of the bombings right after we got out of Stonehenge. Naturally, we were all very upset and nervous. David kept us informed, but never panicked anyone. He went on with the tour with humor and a very professional manner. He even let some of us use his cell to call

I'm back home after my very busy five day trip to England, and I wanted to tell you that the "Stones and Bones" tour I attended on Tuesday was one of the highlights of my trip.

My sister-in-law and I enjoyed the entire itinerary very much. Although I was mostly looking forward to visiting Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral turned out to be the unexpected jewel of the day.

But I'm saving my highest compliments for our driver and tour guide. Our driver (whose name unfortunately I did not catch) was quite friendly and very professional and kindly went out of his way to get us back to our hotel quickly since we had theatre tickets for the evening. And Andrew, our tour guide, was simply the best guide I've ever encountered on any trip, anywhere. Actually, the term "Tour guide" does not do him justice - Andrew was a wealth of information, and I feel as if I took a mini British history course during the tour. Again, please extend my compliments to both of them.

I will recommend your company to everyone I know planning to visit Great Britain, and I hope to return sometime soon (hopefully with the rest of my family!) to participate in more of your tours. Also, I recommended you to the consierge at our hotel, Marriott Grosvenor House, before I left yesterday morning.

I have no objection to your adding my comments to your testimonials.I took your Stones and Bones Tour on May 15th, Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed the tour and have recommended it to others. I liked the unrestricted and informal atmosphere of the tour, the guide's (Tony's) treatment of us. There was a friendly and spontaneous atmosphere created by Tony. The information he provided us with was not overwhelming and our questions were answered. I found the size of the bus and number of passengers far superior to the giant tour buses that are generally offered. I especially liked the walk up in a hill in the beautiful countryside and seeing the crop circles.I just wish you would have gone to the Cotswolds, as well!

impressed and satisfied by your 'best-in-class' tour company, during our
recent visit to England (Dec. 30-January 10). We enjoyed three of your
wonderfully intimate and highly experiential tours - Stones & Bones; Bards &
Battles and Culture Vulture (Bath, Lacock ,etc) Thankfully there are more
to enjoy on a future visit. Also must tell you that Graham was an
outsanding guide and interpreter, making us feel at home and immersed in
British ancient and 19th-century history on two trips. I will recommend your
company to friends. I found it interesting though, that our hotel,
Harrington Hall, was not either widely aware of or 'selling' your tours - -
which is too bad for the rest of their guests. I work as a cultural tourism

I've read many of the comments from other clients and I
just have to add mine. We have visited London several times, but wanted to
get out and see the countryside this time. Are we ever glad we choose the
Bones & Stones tour to Salisbury, Stonehenge, Old Sarum, and Avebury. We
were picked-up right at the front door of our hotel, the mini-van was
comfortable, but best of all the guide (David) was just great. He really
knew his stuff and his delivery was excellent. Although he had done this
tour umpteen times, it seemed like he was seeing everything for the first
time just like his guests. Thanks again for a great experience that my wife

Kirsty,I didn't know how to reach the main office or owner of Astral Travels, so I was hoping you could relay my message???This is Becky Sydney. May husband and I just got back to Hawaii (where we live) from an extended vacation in France and England.
I had the TIME OF MY LIFE and must give credit to Astral Travels and especially, the tour guides for the Stonehenge Tour, Tony and David.
We easily booked our tour on-line for Aug. 2 - the Sunrise Stonehenge Tour and had personal assistance, both email and telephone, from Kirsty, who informed us of pick up times and helped us choose a hotel that was convenient. She was very helpful and informative. Although the pick up time was quite early (for our usual night owl standards) - 5:15 am, the Tour Driver was promptly there at 5:15am! We met Tony and was on our way. When we read the description of this tour, we assumed the sunrise would happen AT Stonehenge not while we were driving there. Looking back, I'm glad we weren't at Stonehendge for sunrise, we would have had a 3:30am pick up and I'm not thrilled about that! hee, hee, hee.We stopped for coffee and breakfast at a roadside food court which gave us an opportunity to talk with Tony. I asked him if we would see any crop circles (my true passion) near Stonehenge and he said 'no' that they were the other direction and after Stonehenge, the tour was going to Salisbury. I was very disappointed - since I was informed that we'd probably see some.
